In order to guarantee the quality of the aquatic products, six county-level fishery centers would have security check to 70 percent of aquatic products. Kunming Agricultural Bureau released the fishery development planning of Kunming and would hold hearing for the public about the advice on the planning. The development planning expressed the idea that 4 finery development zones would be built in 14 counties in Kunming. The fishery development planning pointed that the area of the fishery cultivation would be developed to 140 thousand mu and the output of the aquatic products would reach 55 thousand tons by year 2020.

In order to guarantee the supply of the aquatic products, Kunming Agricultural Bureau would develop the Basket Program in Yiliang County, Songming County, Xundian County and Dongchuan District. The Basket Program was the functional zone to cultivate the freshwater fish in large scale. The fishery zone would be developed into the supply base of the Basket Program. Moreover, six districts of Wuhua District, Xishan District, Panlong District, Guandu District, Chenggong District and Anning City would be the development zone of the modern fishery which was used to hold the modern logistics, processing, recreation and tourist fishery. If completed, many tourists would visit there and foreign students who had the chance to study Chinese in Kunming would enjoy themselves in the tourist fishery zone where they could appreciate different kinds of fishes.

In order to guarantee the quality of the aquatic products, Kunming would build six county-level fishery centers to equip the ability of security check. The centers would cover 70 percent of the aquatic products. Other laboratories for rapid detection for aquatic products would be developed. A verification center of the fishery body pollution events would be built to maintain the rights of the culturists of the aquatic products.
